* We are on six points, New Zealand are on seven, courtesy the bonus point. If we beat India then we are in the final. If the match gets rained out, New Zealand and India have to fight it out. There are lots of permutations that we can think of. We play every game to win and take pride in that attitude.
* All the gamesmanship that goes on the field, the banter, the sledging is to get a reaction from the opposition. How to react is within your control. At the end of the day, you do what is best for the side and that’s the bottom line.
* It has been a couple of weeks since the tournament started. Momentum is usually built to keep going. There have been a lot of breaks (due to rain) in this tournament, but I don’t think it counts a lot as momentum is meant to be broken at times. The performance of Chamara Silva shows the depth in the side and Angelo Mathews provides us great balance, weather is not in our control and we have to do what is expected of us.
* His (Virender Sehwag) wicket is very important. We view each wicket as the same as it helps keep the run-rate in check. Viru showed how well he can adapt, we have to set more challenges and see how he comes through.
