Rasool first J&K cricketer in Team India

Mumbai: Parvez Rasool has become the first cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to be included in the Indian squad as he has been selected to represent India for the tour of Zimbabwe.
The team, announced by the BCCI on Friday, will be led by Virat Kohli as regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been rested for the tournament. Once again senior players such as Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag has not been included in the squad.

Bowlers Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, R Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been rested along with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Ajinkya Rahane, Mohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Jaidev Unadkat has been included in the squad.

The series commences on July 24 and ends August 3.

Full squad: Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Cheteshwar Pujara, Dinesh Karthik, Ambati Rayudu, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Parvez Rasool, Mohd Shami Ahmed, R Vinay Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohit Sharma.
