Ravindra Public School lift HS Mehta cricket title
All-round displays by man of the match Nitin Jaswan (72, 3/12) and Hitesh Sharma (71, 3/25) scripted Ravindra Public School’s 20-run win over Delhi Cricket Academy in the final of the 5th HS Mehta Under-14 cricket tournament at Ajanta Public School, Gurgaon, on Wednesday.
Batting first, Ravindra Public School posted 225/5 in 30 overs on Jaswan’s and Sharma’s knocks. Rishabh Kochar chipped in with 65.
In reply, Hardik Rawat (91 n.o.) and Shubham Chouhan (65) led Delhi Cricket Academy’s challenge but could not see their team through. DCA were bowled out for 205 in 29.4 overs as Jaswan and Sharma shone with the ball also.
Hitesh Sharma was named best all-rounder player of the tournament.
