Rogers’ Maiden test century ‘pleases’ broad
England fast bowler Stuart Broad has admitted that he is happy for his rival Australian batsman Chris Rogers’ milestone century in second day of the fourth Test at Durham.
According to a newspaper, Rogers’ century, which made him the second oldest Australian to reach his first his maiden Test hundred, saved the tourists’ bacon, which was then being cooked by Broad, who had taken four wickets on Saturday.
Broad said that although it was tough for him to feel pleased for an Australian scoring a hundred in an Ashes Test, especially when he is bowling against him, there however, was no doubt that Rogers has been a great servant for Australia.
