Sachin Tendulkar quits ODIs, announces retirement
Sachin Tendulkar the highest run-getter in ODIs has announced his retirement today ahead of the Pakistan series slated to begin from December 25. Sachin wrote to the BCCI informing them about his retirement.
Sachin had scored more than 18,000 runs in the ODIs and has been playing for the Indian cricket team for the last 23 years. He wrote in the letter, "I have decided to quit from the ODI format of the game."
He also said that he would want to step aside giving chance to young players.
