Salwan School win thriller against DPS
Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, notched up a thrilling four-run win over Delhi Public School Vasundhra in a low-scoring match of the inaugural Fast Trax Daredevils Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament at the Bharat Nation Public School grounds in the capital on Sunday.
Chasing 119, DPS were comfortably placed at 102/1 with four overs left but once the second wicket partnership between Kartik Kumar (42, 51 balls) and Vikhyat Jain (38, 33 balls) was broken, all fell apart for the team. Salwan Public School regained the momentum, stopping their rival four runs short of the target.
In other matches, an unbeaten 81 from Vishank Chaudhary and a five-wicket haul by Vishal Sharma led Laxman Public School to a comfortable 104-run win over Kalka Public School while Mayank Rawat starred in Bal Bhawan School’s 45-run win over Cambridge School, Subash Nagar.
Rahul Gahlot, Rohit Tyagi and Sandeep Telhan scalped two wickets each for the winner.
