Saurabh scalps six in ONGC win

An impressive spell by man of the match Saurabh Kumar (6/17) helped ONGC beat PMG by 40 runs in a Group ‘A’ match of the 1st Sahibzada Zoravar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh T20 cricket tournament at the Khalsa College ground in the capital.

The result didn’t affect PMG’s qualification to the quarter-final stage as both teams went through owing to Subhania Club’s poor show in the group. Batting first, ONGC posted 141/8 in their allotted overs, thanks to good efforts from Prashant Bhandari (48) and Ajay Ratra (35).
In the chase, PMG could manage 101 as their batsmen failed to withstand the bowling of Saurabh. Only Rajesh Sharma (24) put a fight.
In another Group A match, ONGC defeated Subhania Club by 19 runs at the same venue. While ONGC scored 141/6 in 20 overs, Subhania finished on 122/8 in their allotted overs.
