Amidst a sea of foreign WAGs who have descended on the Indian Premier League, it’s hard to spot their Indian counterparts who enjoy the game away from the public glare.

As such the presence of Deccan Chargers’ batsman Shikhar Dhawan’s fiancee Aesha comes as a pleasant sight.

The Australia-born pretty lass who is also a trained boxer, has been spotted cheering the 2009 champions and the man in her life.

Quote unquote: Stephen Fleming, CSK

On skipper MS Dhoni missing practice: There is nothing to worry. Dhoni will be playing against Pune Warriors tomorrow.

On opener M. Vijay’s constant failures: Vijay, no doubt, hasn’t been giving us the desired results. It (Vijay’s selection) certainly needs to be discussed. We have other options in Abhinav Mukund, S. Anirudha or even Wriddhiman Saha.

On CSK’s poor start: Momentum is what we need in this form of cricket. However, most of the teams have struggled for it. We haven’t been playing to our potential. We are determined to get a handful of wins under our belt. A couple of victories can take us to the top.

On CSK’s pacers not hitting the right areas:They haven’t been among wickets and have also leaked runs. That forced R. Ashwin to bowl defensively. We want Ashwin to be at his wicket-taking best, but for that the speedsters also need to create pressure.

On Albie Morkel’s absence: Albie is a vital cog in our set up and he will be missed. We rested Doug Bollinger in the last match because he was coming back after a tiring month. So he is likely to back for the next game. Hopefully, he will be on the button straightaway.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
