Shikhar wants to be at peak in new season

Shikar Dhawan is a man on a mission. After making the heads turn with his attacking style of play in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League for the Delhi Daredevils, Dhawan failed to live up to the hype that was created.

However, with an increased responsibility at the Deccan Chargers, Dhawan is now looking to prove his worth yet again.

“I made a few good half centuries in the inaugural edition. But though I have played well later, the impact that was made in the IPL-1 was missing,” said Dhawan.

“I am looking to rectify that and play my natural game. I enjoy playing in the top-order and hopefully will get the opportunity to open the innings for the Chargers,” he added.
