The seasoned cricketer, who was fielding at the boundary near the Vitthal Divecha stand, was being rebuked by a group of young boys who kept teasing him for not picking up a wicket in the post lunch session. The mercurial spinner, who took 2/74, confronted the group by pointing his shoe at them, pointing his shoe at them, claimed an eye witness. “He was constantly jeered by the group. After picking up those two wickets he pointed his shoe at them."
“He went back to the stand and called out to the guy to confront him after England were bowled out. The eye witness added that a member of India's support staff intervened just in time.
“Harbhajan was furious and he was going to enter the stand but was stepped just in time by Indian team's support staff member. The policemen deployed inside got hold of the boy and he was evicted." The Mumbai Cricket Association officials said that the boy, whose name is not yet known, was let off after a warning.
