Spot fixing scandal: BCCI suspends five IPL players
The Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council on Tuesday evening suspended T. P. Sudhindra, Mohnish Mishra, Abhinav Bali, Amit Yadav and Shalabh Srivastava for their alleged role in the spot-fixing, according to media.
The Hindi-language ‘India TV’ channel said it has taped Kings XI Punjab seamer Shalabh Srivastava telling the reporters that he could bowl a no-ball in the IPL if he was paid Rs1 million.
“The players will remain suspended till enquiry by Ravi Sawani is completed and the report will be submitted to BCCI for final action,” said IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla.
