Sravan, Nandu, Paramjith best

Cambridge XI defeated Telangana by 30 runs during their ‘A’ division two-day league cricket match played in Hyderabad. Batting first, Cambridge XI made a modest total with Nandu Vishnu (5 for 33) and Mohinder Reddy (4 for 57) leading the way with the ball. For the batting side, Paramjith top-scored with a fighting 99.

In reply, Telangana scored 133 with Joseph Sravan leading the way with his spell of 5 for 59. In another match, Central Excise scored 251 in their clash against Falaknuma. Batting first, Central Excise made 251 with Bipin (67) and Akbar Khan (44) being the main contributors. For the bowling side, Mohammed Faheem was the pick of the lot, taking five wickets while conceding 84 runs. In reply, Falaknuma were at 111 for 2 with Sujith top-scoring with 50.

In an ‘A’ division one-day league clash, HUCC defeated Imperial by six wickets. Batting first, Imperial were all out for 119 with Mohammed Bin Saleh (4 for 20), Kaleem (3 for 20) and Sufiyan (3 for 26) being the main destroyers. In reply, HUCC made 124 for 4 with Mohd Ateeq (35) and Mohd Bin Saleh (36) being the leading run-scorers.

In a low-scoring ‘B’ division schools league encounter, CK Blues scored a six-wicket win over Adams. Batting first, Adams were bowled out cheaply for 82. For the bowling side, Jayasurya (3 for 19) and Karthik (4 for 9) shone with the ball.

In reply, CK Blues made 84 fpr 4 despite Nikhil Chowdhary’s lion-hearted spell of 4 for 27.
In an ‘A’ division institutions league IAF beat HMT Bearings by 62 runs. Batting first, IAF made 176 with Sridhar taking 6 for 44.
In reply, HMT Bearings were restricted to 114.
In a ‘B’ division one-day clash, Mehmood CC defeated APAU by 67 runs. Batting first, Mehmood CC made 141 and in reply, bowled out for APAU to 74, courtesy Harry Allen’s spell of 5 for 10.
