Sree finds it surprising
Sreesanth’s reaction to ban from cricket was almost spontaneous — a one-liner in his twitter account. “Been tracking the news channels... Me getting a life ban??!! Very surprising,” Sreesanth posted and soon deleted the tweet.
While a shocked Sreesanth decided to stay back in New Delhi, where he had appeared before BCCI’s anti-corruption unit headed by Ravi Sawani, his family back in Kochi were completely devastated.
Dipu Santh, elder brother of the cricketer said they were still in disbelief. “How could this have happened. The court is yet to pronounce a verdict and we are cent per cent sure he is going to come out clean. This is definitely deliberate and cruel,” said Dipu.
Sreesanth’s family confirmed that the cricketer would be staying back in the capital city and arrive home early on Saturday.
“He was working real hard and had even started bowling practice at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. We were recovering from the shock of his arrest and now .. this is killing us,” said Dipu.
After his release from Tihar jail Sreesanth routinely visited holy shrines across the state. He recently performed a Shayan Prathakshina at Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple.
