Swann shows no lasting effects of arm injury
CHELMSFORD: Graeme Swann showed there were no lasting effects from his arm injury sustained on the second day of England's match against Essex by bowling his team to victory in the Ashes warm-up on Wednesday.England's frontline offspinner took 5-68 in 20.3 overs as England bowled the county side out for 186 at Chelmsford to complete a 228-run win, a week before the first test against Australia in Nottingham.Swann was taken to hospital after being hit on the arm while batting Monday. An X-ray showed no fracture, only bruising, but he was only able to bowl nine balls during Essex's first innings.Swann says "obviously not playing much during the Champion Trophy and then being whacked on the arm and missing the first innings, I was very keen to get at least 20 overs under my belt."
