Tyagi stars in Bal Bhawan title win

All-round displays by man of the match Rohit Tyagi (72, 2/23) and Sidhant Purohit (46, 2/29) helped Bal Bhawan School, Dwarka, beat Sonnet Club by 44 runs in the final of the 2nd Ram Prakash Chhabra Under-13 cricket tournament on Thursday.

Batting first, Bal Bhawan School were bowled out for 214 in 39 overs on the back of Tyagi and Purohit knocks. Ritik Shokeeen and Karan Pandey took three wickets each for Sonnet Club.
In reply, Ayush Kumar (59) led the Sonnet Club’s reply but could not see his team through as they folded up for 170 in 37 overs. Divyansu Joshi and Sanat Sangwan chipped in with 37 and 29, respectively.
Tyagi was also named the best all-rounder of the tournament with the total of 165 runs and seven wickets.
