Unique Tendulkar collection up for grabs

Having brought cricket memorabilia to fans for a while, Collectabillia.com, India’s first celebrity commerce website, has launched a new collection of Sachin Tendulkar branded merchandise.

The merchandise line has been co-created by the Master himself and will involve pen drives, helmet-shaped paperweights, diaries, and accessories including tie-pins, wallets, cricket-themed cuff links among the many items that will be sold on Collectabillia.com and Flipkart.com.
“It’s an interesting line of merchandise and a way to keep connected with my fans. Collectabillia has been able to create this unique line and I wish them all the success,” opined Sachin on the collection.
There is also a Sachin-themed alarm clock to begin your day in a manner of speaking.
Sharing her thoughts on this collection, Anjana Reddy, MD Universal Sportsbiz Pvt Ltd said, “At Collectabillia, we are always looking for innovative new ways to bridge the gap between the celebrities and their fans, while adding new dimensions to sports merchandising in India.
“Apart from jerseys, bats and other regular options, we have taken products that we use every day — like pen drives, wallets, coasters and other accessories — and transformed them into objects that reflect your personality.”
Elaborating on this, Ankit Nagori, VP, Retail, Flipkart.com, Flipkart India added, “Cricket lovers across the world have great respect and admiration for Sachin, and the launch of this range is a way to extend Sachin’s legacy beyond the boundaries of cricket, and touch the lives of all his fans.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
