Wax replica of Glenn McGrath unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Sydney
One of the greatest fast bowlers of all time and arguably the best Australian bowler of his generation, Glenn McGrath was immortalised at the Madame Tussauds in Sydney where a wax replica of the "Pigeon" was unveiled.
In a career spanning 14 years, McGrath played 124 Tests and snaffled 563 wickets while bagging 381 wickets in 250 One Day Internationals. Although he could not swing the ball prodigiously, McGrath worked miracles with his insufferable accuracy. McGrath had the uncanny knack of pitching a majority of his deliveries in the "Corridor of uncertainty" thereby testing the batsmen to the hilt.
McGrath prized the wicket of former England Captain, Mike Atherton a startling 19 times, which is a record.
