‘Will launch a global league soon’
Lalit Modi struck back at the BCCI soon after the unanimous decision of him being expelled from BCCI was revealed at Chennai on Wednesday and said, “I will not run away and I will challenge the ban. I will be watching BCCI everyday.”
Modi, who was accused of eight different charges of various acts of indiscipline and misconduct, slammed that all the state associations worked for their self interest. “Associations banded together for selfish interests and not for Indian cricket,” said the 49-year-old.
The former IPL chairman who was sacked by the board unceremoniously in 2010 took on the BCCI yet again and said, “I will hit back and will reveal all the secrets of the BCCI. They do not like me because I raise issues. I am not going to stop shooting bullets at the BCCI.”
Modi who often takes twitter-route to vent his anger had earlier tweeted that he was glad not to be a part of a ‘lame duck shameless organisation anymore’ when the BCCI two-probe panel gave clean chit to Raj Kundra and Gurunath Meiyappan in the betting case.
Not only had he tweeted on BCCI but had also dished out tweets about BCCI chief N. Srinivasan and the CSK ID of his son-in-law Gurunath.
“Corruption in the BCCI has gone to its highest levels. Srinivasan is a master match fixer,” he added.
Having been chucked out of IPL and now from BCCI, Modi said, “I will launch a global league in another sport very soon.”
Modi is currently residing in London.
