Youwecan marks one year

Youwecan, the cancer initiative founded by cricketer Yuvraj Singh, will mark its first year of foundation on Saturday.

“An year ago Youwecan began its journey of connecting with people and providing them with support, education and hope to fight against cancer,” said Yuvraj.
“I am glad to witness the success of my initiative and am hopeful to create more such successful stories as we grow. Though I am not there to celebrate this success but I am thankful to Sonam Kalra who has come up to stand with our cause.
“I am also thankful to all the people of this nation who have supported us in our cause and to my team that has not left any stone unturned.”
Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh, president of Youwecan, will launch the programme, that will also see the presence of India cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag.
Among others present will be Union minister Rajiv Shukla, Anurag Thakur, member of Parliament, Muzaffar Ali, renowned filmmaker and Jyotsna Govil, general secretary, Indian Cancer Society.
