Yuvraj down, Raina up, pay hike by BCCI
The gradation committee of the BCCI on Thursday hiked players’ retainers: those in Grade A will get `1 crore, up from `60 lakhs, while Grade B players will get `50 lakhs instead of `40 lakhs. Cricketers in Grade C will continue to get `25 lakhs.
Batsman Yuvraj Singh, in poor form recently, was dropped from Grade A, while left-hander Suresh Raina, who scored a century in his Test debut against Sri Lanka, has replaced him in that category.
