14 lakh forms sold till close
The DDA Housing Scheme 2010 closed on Friday with record number of people having applied for 16,000 flats on offer. “We cant not say how many people have applied for the scheme, as banks are accepting application forms. It will take few days to collect the data,” said DDA spokesperson Nemo Dhar.
The DDA had printed 14 lakh application forms, while it could also be downloaded from the Internet.
On the last day, people thronged the banks, which had put up special counters.
In the draw of lots would be one-room tenements in Jasola and Trilokpuri along with furnished three-bedroom flats in Vasant Kunj.
About 70 per cent of the DDA flats in the 2010 scheme are one-room Janata flats. Largest number of flats are in Rohini. The costs of these flats range from `6 lakhs to `1.12 crores, while the one-room Janata flats are priced at `3 lakhs to `6 lakhs.
