17-28% toll tax hike from May ’11

The standing committee of the MCD on Wednesday approved a 17 to 28 per cent hike in toll tax for commercial vehicles. The rates will apply from mid-May in 2011.
Taxi, tempo, Tata-407 and similar vehicles will pay `45 as toll tax per entry in place of `35. Buses, trucks, Nissan, Tata-709 or canters will pay `85 up from `70. Six-wheel

trucks will pay `165 instead of `140, while 10-wheel trucks would pay `330, up from `280. The 14-wheel trucks will be charged `820. The rates of monthly passes too have been increased accordingly.
