2 die, 3 hurt in mishap

A man and his 10-year-old daughter were killed while three other family members were injured when a speeding container truck crashed into a residence in the Tughlaqabad area of south Delhi on Friday night.

The police officials said the deceased identified as Hira Lal, 42, and his daughter Mamta were sleeping in their residence when a speeding container truck lost control and crashed into the wall of the house. Those injured in the tragedy have been identified as Lal’s wife Kamla, 40, and their sons, Ravi, 14, and Rajesh, 12.
The accident happened at around 1 am. The five were taken AIIMS, where Lal and Mamta were declared brought dead.
