Woman helps catch criminals
AGE CORRESPONDENT
New Delhi

Aug. 11: Displaying courage, a 38-year-old woman helped catch two criminals at Farsh Bazar in east Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. The Delhi police commissioner has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the woman.
According to the police, Meenakshi Garg, wife of Kailash Garg, a resident of Farsh Bazar, was alone in her house on Tuesday when two persons, later identified as Rinku and Lokesh, came to her and asked for some work. Meenakshi answered the door and told the two that she did not have any work for them. However, the two overpowered her at gun-point and gagged her mouth. As they tried to force her into parting with cash and jewellery, Rinku’s country-made revolver fell down. Without caring for her life, Meenakshi pushed the two away and raised an alarm. The commotion alerted the neighbours who rushed to her help and overpowered the two accused.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Farsh Bazar police station.
