2 labourers injured in roof cave-in
Two persons suffered minor injuries when a concrete roof of an underconstruction residential building collapsed in Hauz Qazi area of central Delhi on Sunday morning.
Police officials said the incident was reported from 1844, Katra Sevchand, Hauz Qazi, at around 11.30 am.
The roof of a residential building, which is undergoing construction, collapsed after a labourer accidentally dislodged the support of the concrete slab, which was laid on Saturday.
“A part of the slab fell on the head of Lallan, a labourer from Bihar, who suffered minor injuries. Another labourer, who was standing behind Lallan also suffered bruises when he tried to prevent the slab from crashing down on Lallan,” a police official said.
A PCR call was made by the owner of the building and both the victims were taken to a nearby hospital from where they have been discharged after primary medication.
No case has been registered in the matter, although investigations are on.
