24-yr-old stabs wife, hangs self

A 24-year-old man committed suicide after stabbing his wife at his Gazipur residence in east Delhi on Tuesday.
The police said that a scuffle occurred between the deceased, Nadeem, and his wife Iram, 22. The couple had got married eight months back but they were not having a

good relationship. The police said the neighbours of the deceased stated that the two used to fight with each other frequently and loud screams were heard inside their house on several occasions
“On Tuesday, a heated argument broke out between the couple following which the deceased went into the kitchen and fetched a knife. He then stabbed his wife and escaped from his residence. The neighbours heard Iram’s screams and rushed her to Lal Bahabur Shastri Hospital from where she was referred to LNJP Hospital, where her condition is said to be critical,” a senior police official said.
In the meantime, Nadeem returned to his house where he committed suicide by hanging himself. The police has sent body for post-mortem examination. The cause of the rift between the couple is yet to be ascertained.
