35-yr woman held for killing live-in partner
The Delhi police on Saturday arrested a boutique owner for allegedly killing her live-in partner. Officers said that the deceased, Rajesh Gupta, had objected to the accused, 35-year-old Shehnaz’s relationship with another man.
Shehnaz allegedly assaulted Gupta with a cricket stump after an argument while they were consuming alcohol at their Rohini residence and later her two brothers helped her in disposing the body.
Shehnaz has been living with Gupta for the past two years after she got separated from her husband. Shehnaz and her brother Shakeel, 27, were arrested on Friday while another brother Shahid is absconding.
“Shehnaz had herself approached the police and reported that Gupta was missing. We questioned Shahid as he had previous criminal record,” said the police.
