75-year-old raped, man arrested

A 75-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a young florist in northwest Delhi’s Keshavpuram area, the police said on Tuesday. The police said the accused identified as Prahlad, 22, has been arrested in the case. According

to the police, the incident came to their notice after a local found the victim lying in a semi-conscious state last Friday and made a PCR call.
The police said the victim lives alone in a shanty located in a community park in Keshavpuram area after her husband and son died few years ago. “On Friday evening the caller saw her in a semi-conscious condition with injury marks and informed the police. A police team reached the spot and rushed her to a nearby government hospital where her medical examination stated that she was raped,” said a police official.
