Accused in two-day cop custody
Soon after sending the three “honour killings” accused to 14 days’ judicial custody, a Delhi court on Thursday allowed the police to take them into their custody for quizzing them in another related case.
Allowing the plea of Delhi police, metropolitan magistrate Satish Kumar remanded the three accused Mandeep Nagar (23), Ankit Chaudhury (22) and Nakul Khari (21) to two days’ police custody as soon as they were arrested in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Shobha, the cousin sister of Mandeep.
Meanwhile, another accused in the murder case, Shintu, who was brought from Ghaziabad jail was also sent to police custody for a day.
The police has registered two separate FIRs, one in connection with the murder of Shobha and another for killing Ankit’s sister Monica and her husband Kuldeep.
