Airport line finally gets safety nod

The Airport Express Line has finally got clearance after an inspection and will be opened to public soon.
“The Airport Express line has got clearance. The date has not been confirmed but it will be opened soon,” said a Delhi Metro spokesperson.

The Airport Express Line, is built under a public private partnership. The Line was scheduled to be opened before the beginning of the Commonwealth Games.
The Airport Line is the first Metro line in the country to be implemented on public private partnership basis with DMRC having completed the civil work and the remaining works to be done by the concessionaire.
The line promises to take passengers from Connaught Place to the IGI airport in just 18 minutes with stoppages at four stations.
