Another building in Dabri razed
Following the Lalita Park building collapse incident, the MCD does not seem to be in a mood to take any chances as and when it receives calls about any building tilting dangerously. The latest to be demolished was a building in the Dabri area of southwest Delhi on Sunday. The action was taken following call from the local residents to the place.
Following the information, the police cordoned off the area and informed the MCD. The MCD reached there with a demolition squad and began the exercise after getting the building, located in Nanda block of Mahavir Enclave in Dabri, evacuated. MCD officials, however, maintained that though a “tilt” seemed to have developed in building, it did not appear to be a major threat. But with people not ready to take any chances, it had to ensure that the building was demolished.
