Bad weather hits air traffic late Tuesday
There were no flight operations for about 20 minutes late on Tuesday night at the IGI airport on account of storm and heavy rainfall that lashed the capital. Delhi Airport sources said there were two incidents of “go-around” for
aircraft during the bad weather. A go-around is resorted to, when aircraft are told not to land on the first approach and told to circle over the airport and land on the next approach. Aircraft were also hovering over the capital, waiting for the weather to improve before landing.
