Bags burgled from iaf official’s car
A Honda City car of a squadron leader of Indian Air Force was broken open, allegedly in presence of police personnel outside Hanuman Mandir in Mandir Marg area on Tuesday by miscreants who decamped with cash and valuables from the vehicle.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening when the victim Ajay Krishna Misra had gone to Hanuman Mandir with his wife and a relative in his Honda City car.
“While parking the car, I saw two police personnel nearby. I locked the car and went inside the temple,” the victim said.
On coming out, Misra found the rear window on the left side of the car broken and two bags belonging to his wife and relative missing. “When he inquired from the parking staff and police personnel, they feigned ignorance,” the source said.
Misra lodged a complaint at the Mandir Marg police station. He informed that the bags stolen from the car contained some bank cards, mobiles, documents and other valuables. A case of theft was registered.
