BJP books advertisement sites for rally posters
Gearing up for the September 29 rally, the Delhi BJP is all set to engage majority of parking lots, public toilets, advertisement panels and unipoles to display posters of BJP’s chief campaigner Narendra Modi.
The party has booked over a hundred authorised advertisement sites, which were outsourced to private agencies by the municipal corporations. BJP leaders said they would continue to occupy these sites even after the rally.
The party would use these advertisement sites to highlight the achievements and development works undertaken by the BJP-ruled municipal corporations till Assembly polls.
According to the plan, Delhi BJP approached the private agencies for booking all authorised sites. These include toilets, garbage collection sites (dhalao) and parking sites.
A senior Delhi BJP leader said that initially 110 such sites have been identified.
“To begin with, we will be putting the posters of our prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for the proposed rally. Later on, we will also erect hoardings highlighting the achievements of the BJP-ruled civic bodies as also the failures of the present government,” he said. adding that the entire cost of the publicity would be borne by the party.
The leader said that workers have been strictly directed against sticking any poster illegally as the same is prohibited under the Delhi Defacement Act.
Sources said the BJP would be highlighting the opening of medical college at Hindu Rao Hospital, increasing the number of beneficiaries of old age pension in each ward and various development works in rural areas among its achievements.
