BJP city corporator, brother thrashed
A BJP councillor and his brother were allegedly beaten up by four youths in Vikaspuri in west Delhi in a road rage incident following a minor mishap involving their vehicles.
According to the police, the councilor from ward number 116 of Vikaspuri East, Balbir Tyagi, and his brother Vikas were going from their home to Tilak Nagar on Monday in their car when the incident took place.
The brothers were traveling in a Honda City car while the youths were in a Tata Ace tempo.
The two vehicles brushed against each other at Vikas Kunj in Vikaspuri. following which a heated argument started between the two groups.
The argument soon turned violent and the four youth beat up the BJP councillor Balbir Tyagi and his brother Vikas.
Balbir, who is also the block head of BJP, and his brother Vikas Tyagi were admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where they are under observation.
The four youth involved in the incident have been arrested by the police after the incident.
The accused have been identified as Rajesh, Amit, Gopal and Amit, all aged between 21 and 25 years.
The accused youth are employed in a transport company and were shifting household articles from one place to another at the time of the incident.
