BJP may move top court to remove Sheila Dikshit
Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta has requested the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to immediately remove chief minister Sheila Dikshit for “considering herself above law though indicted in the Commonwealth Games bungling by the Shunglu committee.” Mr Gupta has stated that if Ms Dikshit is
not removed, the BJP would move the Supreme Court demanding stern action against the chief minister. He told that BJP has assigned a panel of senior advocates the work of examining the Shunglu Committee report, decision of the Lokayukta recommending removal of PWD minister Rajkumar Chauhan in Tivoli Garden tax case, and confrontation of the chief minister with lieutenant governor Tejendra Khanna in the circle rate case, power privatisation bungling. “Immediately after receiving the advice of the panel, the BJP will move the court to get the chief minister punished under law of the land,” added Mr Gupta. He further stated that the career of V.K. Shunglu has been taint free in view of his bright career and the Prime Minister had assigned him the work of enquiry.
