BJP plans no-trust on Speaker
After being expelled for another three days from the House, the Opposition BJP is mulling over to bring a no-confidence motion against the Speaker Yoganand Shastri for having allowed the proceedings of the Assembly on Friday without having the requisite and also in the absence of agenda.
The BJP members were on Friday again expelled from the House for three days as they again raised their demand for a House committee to enquire into the alleged corruption in the Commonwealth Games. The Opposition BJP MLAs were also expelled from the two earlier sitting and with Friday’s expulsion they would be able to participate only on the last day of the Winter session of the House.
Later speaking to reporters, Leader of the Opposition V.K. Malhotra stated that the BJP legislators would be meeting on Monday to decide if the party should bring a no confidence motion against the Speaker for having allowed the proceedings in the absence of quorum and agenda.
