BJP pulls up CM over false promises
The Delhi BJP criticised the government for making false promises whenever an election approaches. The Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, in a statement said that whenever elections approaches in Delhi, the chief minister becomes restless and start making promises to misguide the
people and to attract voters through false promise. “During the last Assembly Elections also, the Lokayukta had taken cognisance of such false promises by passing strictures against the chief minister and had even recommended to the President to put an end to such false promises. When the MCD elections are approaching, the chief minister has announced to provide housing facilities to scheduled caste and schedule tribe and to provide employment to BPL card holders in Delhi,” Mr Malhotra said adding that such promises are a cruel joke against the poor.
Mr Malhotra came down heavily on the Delhi CM and said that only 210 people could be provided employment by 2006 as against lakhs of unemployed registered with the employment bureau.
