Boy, 12, abducted from Kalkaji
A 12-year-old boy went missing under highly mysterious circumstances from outside his uncle’s residence in Kalkaji on Thursday morning.
Police officials said the boy was playing with his friends near a park in L2 block, DDA flats in Kalkaji, southeast Delhi, on Thursday morning when he went missing.
The officials said the boy, identified as Shivam alias Vikas, had come to Delhi from his native place in Bihar’s Buxar district along with his brother Anjam, 15, to seek admission in Class 6 in a Delhi school.
The two were staying with their uncle, Gajender Mishra, a resident of quarter number 9B, DDA flats. The police said the victim’s uncle, Mishra, is posted as an income tax inspector in the office at Bikaji Kama Place.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim was playing in a park along with some children of the locality when he was last seen.
“While other children returned home on Thursday, Vikas didn’t turn up and his uncle got worried. He went to the residences of other kids, who were playing with Shivam, but they feigned ignorance about the matter.
He started searching for Vikas in the locality frantically and also enquired from other children which proved futile and finally he alerted the police control room. The police arrived at the residence and is reported to have held some people who are being questioned in this regard.
“A case of kidnapping has been registered and investigation into the matter is in progress,” a senior police official said.
The officials said Mishra was finding a suitable school to get his nephew admitted. His elder brother and father of the victim, Virender Mishra lives in Bihar and he is a government employee.
