B.Sc. student files ragging complaint
A case of ragging of a second-year student of Hindu College has come to light. According to the complaint, a senior student insulted a second-year student in auditorium in presence of other students.
According to sources, a senior student, Rahul, asked B.Sc. second year student Anurag to hurl abuses at himself in front of everyone. Anurag registered a written complaint with the college authorities later.
Anurag wanted to become a member of the theatre society. On Wednesday evening, Anurag was interviewed by the theatre society office-bearers. Rahul asked him if he has sought someone’s recommendation, which he denied. Then Rahul asked him to hurl abuses at himself in front of 50-60 students in the auditorium. He hesitated initially but later, he did what he was asked to.
The students present there made fun of him. Meanwhile, the DU has asked Satywati College to stall its sports quota admission in the wake of irregularities having come to notice.
