Car grazes another, man stabbed
A property dealer was critically wounded in an altercation with unidentified assailants over a minor issue near Shakarpur community hall in east Delhi on Friday evening.
The police said the victim, identified as Moin Khan, a property dealer and a resident of Lalita Park in Shakarpur area, had gone out with his friends on Friday evening and was returning home when the incident took place.
“When his friends dropped him near his street, their car grazed the car of the assailants that was coming from the other side of the road. Some youth got down from this vehicle and indulged in an argument with Moin,” a police source said.
The petty verbal argument soon turned violent and Moin was assaulted by the youth.
“One of the assailants suddenly took out a knife and stabbed Moin in his chest after which the accused escaped from the spot. An eyewitness, Dinesh, made a call to the police control room following which the victim was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where his condition is stated to be extremely critical,” a police official said.
The official said that the assailants are reported to be residents of Shakarpur area and one of them has been identified.
“A manhunt has been launched to arrest the assailants and a case has been registered at the Shakarpur police station but no arrests have been made so far,” the official said.
