CBI probes G’gaon CJM’s wife death
The CBI on Tuesday initiated its probe into the alleged murder of Gurgaon chief judicial magistrate’s wife Geetanjali Garg.
The CBI initiated its probe into the matter only after the notification issued by the department of personnel and training in this regard, sources said. Geetanjali, wife of CJM Ravneet Garg was found dead in the high-security Police Lines area of Gurgaon.
The agency filed a case under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the IPC among other provisions naming Ravneet and his parents as accused.
Geetanjali, 30, was found dead on July 17.

Sheila calls meet on food scheme

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday called a meeting of party MLAs and councillors on the food security bill in the capital and asked them to pull up their socks for implementation of the scheme.
“You must ensure effective implementation of the scheme. You will have to educate the masses about the benefits of the scheme. You will also have to help people enrol under the scheme,” she said. The meeting was attended by her Cabinet colleagues and senior officials of food and supplies department.
