CBSE Class 10 results out today
The CBSE Class 10 board result will be out today at 10 am. Students from schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education are awaiting their results with mixed feelings as they will get grades instead of marks this year.
The board has introduced grading system in Class 10 from this year to reduce stress on students. While the average or below average students are happy about the move, the above average students are discontent. “We work hard to get good marks, better marks than our classmates. I have stood first in my class from Class 1, this year I will just be one among a group of students getting A+,” said Suniti Madan, a student from a elite school of the capital.
Under the new system that has begun this year, internal assessment marks are added to the board examination scores. The CBSE has made the Class 10 board exams optional from next year. A system for internal assessment will be there for students not willing to give the board examination.
Students will get grades instead of percentage. The grades will be given on a nine-point scale ranging from A1 (excellent) to E2 (dissatisfactory) with D being the minimum pass grade.
