CISF security in place in 2 weeks

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will finish induction of personnel and deployment of security gadgets on the airport express link in about a fortnight’s time.
Ending months-long stalemate over the security issue, it was decided on Friday that the corridor will be guarded by the CISF.

“Men and material will be deployed within two to three weeks. The security arrangement of other corridors will be replicated in this stretch,” a senior official said. The personnel will be brought from various formations of the force across the country, they said. After missing three deadlines, the Airport Express Line is expected to roll out by February 20.
This corridor will connect Connaught Place to Indira Gandhi International Airport, with six stations — New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, IGI Airport, Dwarka Sec-21, Dhaula Kuan and Aerocity.
More than 250 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel will be inducted in phases and the unit will be headed by a Commandant rank officer of the central police force.
The CISF will also deploy vehicle-borne Quick Reaction Teams in and around the stations.
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and Delhi Metro’s managing director E. Sreedharan, while inspecting the link on Saturday, had said the line will begin operations once the CISF moves in.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro is plannign to induct six-coach trains on the busy Gurgaon Line with trial starting from Sunday.
The Delhi Metro will run trial services of six-coach trains before actually putting them on service so as to facilitate smooth transition.
Currently, only Line 3 (Dwarka Sec 21-Noida City Centre/Anand Vihar) has six-coach trains.
There will be a change in the stopping point on the platform for the six coach trains.
However, all four-coach trains on this line will continue to stop at the normal stopping point, a DMRC official said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
