City cops face court ire for forgery bid
Two Delhi police officers find themselves in dock as the chief metropolitan magistrate (CMM) has said that they seem to have committed forgery by claiming to have solved two separate theft cases by recovering a stolen vehicle from him twice in a month.
Favouring an inquiry against the police officers, CMM Vinod Yadav, sought responses from them by issuing notices to them through deputy commissioner of police (special cell).
The court observed, “There is a very shocking revelation It is clearly apparent that a vehicle cannot be recovered and re-recovered from the same accused in two different cases.”
The accused, Bijender, was arrested by the special cell in 2005.
