Cloudy sky, dust lower mercury
The searing heat in the capital abated to some extent on Thursday even as the maximum temperature reached 43.8 degrees Celsius. Dust haze and partly cloudy sky accompanied with wind marked the latter part of the day.
According to the weatherman, the maximum temperature was still three degrees above normal. “The overall day temperature is likely to go down by two to three per cent,” said a weather department official.
For the capital, the forecast for Friday says that the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy. Besides, dust haze, along with isolated incidents of dust storms or thundershowers may be witnessed. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 43 degrees Celsius.
