Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday turned 74 on Thursday and celebrated her birthday by cutting several cakes brought by a large number of supporters.
The Delhi ministers reached her 3, Motilal Nehru Marg residence minister to wish her. A large number of followers also trooped in at her residence with flowers and

cakes. The music bands played at the residence to give the place a festive mood, while large hoardings were seen across the capital put up by her followers to wish her on birthday. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also reported to have greeted her.
“I think people appreciate my work and that is why they have come in large numbers. I will continue to work hard to make the city better,” Ms Dikshit stated on the occasion.
The chief minister was born on March 31, 1938, in Punjab’s Kapurthala.
