Congress protest at RSS HQ
A large number of Congress workers, led by Delhi Congress chief J.P. Agarwal and east Delhi MP Sandeep Dikshit, on Friday protested outside the headquarters of RSS here in the Jhandewalan area against the objectionable comments made by former RSS chief K.S. Sudershan on Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
The police had to use water cannons to prevent the protesters who tried to break the security cordon and enter the RSS headquarters, Keshav Kunj. The protest led to traffic snarls around Rani Jhansi Road and Faiz Road. A couple of protests were also held elsewhere in the city.
They also burnt an effigy of the RSS leader. The police had put up barricades near the RSS headquarters and when the protesters tried to break through, it used water cannons.
