Cops arrest 5 youth for burning man to death
The Delhi police has arrested a youth along with his four friends for the murder of a territorial manager of a private telecom company, whose charred body and motorcycle was found in a south Delhi market on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Vaibhav Mishra, 28, and he was killed by Surender, brother of a young girl, who was allegedly having a love affair with Mishra. “Surender was opposed to his sister’s relationship with Mishra. On New Year’s night, Mishra was attending a party in Dakshinpuri area. Surender along with his four friends — Rajiv, Anand Prakash, Anil, and Rahul — saw him and planned to kill him,” Amulya Patnaik, joint CP (south), said. “When Mishra left the party, the five assaulted him and poured petrol on him and set him and the motorcycle on fire,” an official said.
