Cops file fresh chargesheet against Ghandy
The special cell of Delhi police filed a fresh chargesheet against naxal leader Kobad Ghandy under Unlawful Activities (P) Amendments Act 2008 on Friday.
Chief metropolitan magistrate Vinod Yadav has “put up for consideration” the fresh chargesheet filed by the special cell under Sections 20 (Punishment for being member of terrorist gang or organisaiton) and 18 (incites, directs or knowingly facilitates) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Amendments Act 2008.
The move comes in the wake of March 28 order of additional sessions judge Pawan Jain discharging Ghandy of terror charges for the want of proper sanction, despite noting that a case was made out against him under the anti-terror law as he was “not a mere sympathiser” of the banned outfit CPI (Maoist), but an active member.

BJP blames cong for lalita park house collapse
Age Correspondent
New Delhi, March 30
The Delhi BJP counterattacked chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Lalita Park building collapse of November 2010 in which 71 people died. Delhi BJP spokesperson Mr Vijay Jolly accused the Congress for the tragedy.
“The collapsed building was built during the Congress rule in MCD. The Congress is squarely responsible for the building collapse. Chief minister Sheila Dikshit is unnecessarily indulging in blamegame on the eve of MCD polls,” he said. “Tabling of Justice (Retd) Lokeshwar Prasad inquiry report on March 21, 2012 and indicting MCD is witch-hunting by Ms Dikshit. Disciplinary action should be initiated against the officials including the then MCD commissioner and building department,” he added.
